The hera (also called hakama-dome) is a small toggle typically attached to the koshi-ita on the inside of the hakama. It is tucked into the top of the obi to keep the back of the hakama from sagging. Traditionally the hera was made from bone. Today, most hera are made from plastic.

I started practicing Aikido in 2000. It instantly became one of my main interests. And the rest is history.
